Launched more than 30 spec. of M.2 Gen 5 & M.2-1A Connectors


Both M.2 Gen 5 and M.2-1A connectors are developed to serve the higher power, higher performance and higher reliability devices. Compared with M.2 Gen 4, the M.2 Gen 5 has doubled the data rate from 16 GT/s to 32 GT/s to support the high-speed transmission and hot-swap requirement of new generation of SSDs. The M.2-1A has optimized structure and materials for higher current to support applications, like WLAN module (e.g. Wi-Fi 7). It becomes the essential connectivity solution for networking and computing devices, such as AI PC, workstation, server, HPC, router and telecom equipment.

As the PCI-SIG organization continues to advance the M.2 Gen 5 standard (the latest version is Nov. 2023) and the M.2-1A standard (the latest version is Sep. 2023), Argosy also persist to launch more than 20 spec. of M.2 Gen 5 and more than 10 spec. of M.2-1A connectors.

M.2 Gen 5 Connectors (32 GT/s), divided into Gen 5 M.2-1A & Gen 5 M.2 0.5A, launched over 30 spec.

  • Gen 5 M.2-1A: 2.3, 3.2, 4.2, 8.5mm (4 heights x 4 keys) shipped; 6.7, 9.5mm in sample stage
  • Gen 5 M.2 0.5A: 2.3, 4.2mm (2 heights x 4 keys) shipped

M.2 Gen 4 Connectors (16 GT/s), divided into Gen 4 M.2-1A & Gen 4 M.2 0.5A, launched over 80 spec.

  • Gen 4 M.2-1A: 2.0, 3.2, 4.2mm (3 heights x 4 keys) shipped; 2.2mm in sample stage
  • Gen 4 M.2 0.5A: launched from height 1.2mm mid-mount to 10.0mm top-mount (over 17 heights x 4 keys)

The above products shipped nearly 200 million pcs annually in the recent 3 years; we are also capable of develop customized spec., like M.2 3-in-1connector (213-pin) for unique functions.
