USB-IF released USB4 Type-C Gen 3 Connectors standard in Dec. 2020. Meanwhile, Intel
published Thunderbolt 4 Certified Connectors
Parts in Mar. 2021.

part # acquired USB4 Gen 3 with TID & Thunderbolt 4 certificates,
which are both the world first batch of certified Type-C connector maker.
Thunderbolt 4 Connector brings three benefits:
- Flexibility- Type-C Thunderbolt connector delivers high-speed data transfer, video signal, and power to compatible devices simultaneously.
- Bandwidth- Thunderbolt 4 certified connector supports 40Gbps bidirectional bandwidth, and also allows up to five Thunderbolt devices connected powered by only single connector.
- Versatile connectivity- Thunderbolt 4 connector is compatible with many interface standards, including previous versions of Thunderbolt, USB series, DisplayPort, and PCle.
